Mikkeli University Consortium - Research, Education and Services

MISSION STATEMENT

The Mikkeli University Consortium (MUC) conducts research and teaching that promote sustainable development and entrepreneurship, and produces solutions and operational models that support regional development.

MUC's community relations, education and research are based on close cooperation with its partner universities, regional associates and local businesses.

MUC is a networked academic community focused on scientific research, university teaching and community relations. Of key importance for MUC is the practical application of research results through development projects and adult education.

MUC emphasizes research in disciplines which cater to the development needs of the regional economy while remaining internationally competitive and nationally specialised. The Mikkeli University Consortium also maintains a scientific library available to all.
