Sirkka Hämäläinen nominated the Alumna of the Year

08.04.2011 Sirkka Hämäläinen, D. Sc. (Econ.) was named the Alumna of the Year. Ms Hämäläinen was elected by the Alumni Board as a recognition of the influential role she has played in the economic sector, where she has given prominence to the School and promoted interaction between business life and the university.

Admin) Raija Leskinen’s dissertation, belonging to the discipline of entrepreneurship and small business, considers ‘A Longitudinal Case Study of an Entrepreneurial Networking Process’ and will be examined at the Aalto University School of Economics on Wednesday 27th of April 2011.

Dr. Pekka Mattila Appointed as Managing Director of Aalto University Executive Education

20.04.2011 The board of Aalto University Executive Education Ltd has appointed Dr. Pekka Mattila as the new Managing Director of Aalto University Executive Education Ltd. Mattila’s first day at Aalto EE will be May 15, 2011.

Doctoral dissertation: Policy Variants for Coordinating Supply Chain Inventory Replenishments

21.04.2011 In the doctoral dissertation of M.Sc. MBA Kaij E. Karrus a set of policies has been developed for coordinating production and distribution systems. The dissertation will be examined at the Aalto University School of Economics on Friday 29th of April 2011 at 12 (Runeberginkatu 14-16, main building, festival hall).

Finance Department at the School of Economics develops its alumni network with an alumni book

28.04.2011 The Finance Department at the Aalto University School of Economics has undertaken an alumni book project. The number of graduates with BSc, MSc or DSc degrees in Finance has grown to over 700.
