School of Business celebrated its 100 years anniversary in 16 January 2011. The slogan for the anniversary year is On the Move! (Liikkeessä!). This phrase expresses confidence and a positive outlook regarding the future as well as activeness in building a better world.
The main event of the anniversary year was held on 20 January. Other events during the year included e.g. the Ceremonial Conferment of Master’s and Doctoral Degrees on 19-21 March where Dean, Professor Jyrki Wallenius acted as the promotor. At the conferment ceremony, the university conferred degrees on Masters of Science (Economics and Business Administration), Doctors of Science (Economics and Business Administration) and Doctors of Philosophy. Additionally, former students who took part in the conferment ceremony of 1961 were awarded the title ‘riemumaisteri’.
